Hi Everyone,

I'm running a D5 pump with photon 270 reservoir. My setup Pump>Gpu block>Cpu block>480mm radiator. I've been trying for months but can't clear air out of loop. Water is not flowing. My pipe is 10mm inner diameter.
Do you think I need another the D5 pump? If yes, should I run them in series or parallel?
How to add another pump to the existing loop?

Thank you,

We could use some photo of your loop and zoom...

How you connect the inlet loop? is it tube > res top > micro tube inside res > pump top OR, tube > res base/pump top ?
Does the coolant stop at certain part or simply not flowing when pump is on?
You might wanna check your waterblock and clean if you find gunk. Flush the rad, tube, and fittings.
Restart bleeding/pump priming, jiggling and flipping.
You shouldn't pair a defect pump, it'll just be huge pressure drop for your loop.

Parallel setup, usually for crappy/weak pump,

    ■ Res > res base with dual inlet/outlet > tube1/tube2 >
  • ■ Pump1 > tube1 > water block1 > tube1 >
    ■ Pump2 > tube2 > water block2 > tube2 >
    ■ Multi port rad (four or six port rad) or Y/T adapter > tube > rad > tube > res

Series setup, with identical pump, if one pump is failing the other pump could possibly gives sufficient flow to loop.

    ■ Res > dual pump top > tube >
  • ■ water block1 > rad > water block2 (place the hotter source before rad, if necessary you can add another tube > rad after water block2) > tube >

    OR
    ■ water block > tube > rad > tube >
    ■ res

Thank you Mikel_4 for your answer.
My is D5 pump and res combo. The pump connected right under the res.
I would say, Res>gpu block>cpu block>rads>back to pump.
There's no micro tube inside
My is 6 port rad, cpu block to top port on the right and top left port back to res.
There is no micro tube inside.
Coolant is filled up res the first time, I turned on the pump, coolant does circulate its cycle. When the whole loop is filled with coolant, there's a big gap of 6 inches of air bubble in the pipe then it just stops there. I tried to shake it, turned it up side down...nothing works. I was thinking maybe the pump is not strong enough for my loop.

What is your suggestion? Thank you

We could use some photo of your loop and zoom at the bubble gap.
Is it D5 vario (with 5 speed switch) or PWM? have you set to setting 5 (vario)? try replace the PSU power cable that connected to D5 power connector first.
Did you notice a vortex inside reservoir?
If you use soft tube try gentle twitch wince to slide bubble on to res inlet, usually it'll just split into smaller bubbles when enter waterblock.
