Hey everyone, I will try to be informative as possible :)

I got a new laptop recently [ASUS ROG GL552VX] and it came with it an 8GB RAM Samsung
spec was:-
-Non-ECC
-SODIMM
-Timings is (15-15-15-36)
-Part Number is M471A1K43BB0-CPB.
-Speed is 2133Mhz
-Size is 8GB
-Voltage is 1.2v
-CL is 15
-DDR4

Anyway, I decided to add another 8 GB RAM for this laptop and I already ordered Kingston 8GB stick, here is the link https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Technology-ValueRAM-2133MHz-KVR21S15D8/dp/B015CVEOOO/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1480635538&sr=1-1&keywords=Kingston+Technology+ValueRAM+8GB+2133MHz+DDR4+Non-ECC+CL15+SODIMM+2Rx8+Laptop+Memory+%28KVR21S15D8%2F8%29
spec. was:-
-Non-ECC
-SODIMM
-Timings is (15-15-15-33)
-Part Number is KVR21S15D8/8.
-Speed is 2133Mhz
-Size is 8GB
-Voltage is 1.2v
-CL is 15
-DDR4

I searched on the internet for its specification and I checked out the timing for this Kingston RAM and it was (15-15-15-33), To what I see that it got all the same voltage, speed, size , CL, Type of RAM and All the same timing except the fourth timing Kingston is 33 while my pre installed Samsung is 36 so...

my question is... is the ordered RAM Kingston(link above) will have any compatibility issues with my pre installed RAM (Samsung)? will it work without any problems? I think I shouldn't expect any problems right? I am just asking to make sure I ordered the right one for my laptop :).

I searched alot in google related to my question but I couldn't find the answer of my question..
Let me know if there is a missing information or you wanted more information about my laptop :)

Thanks ... :)

With laptops, they tend to make the BIOS a little 'looser' so to say, and the DRAM is often more likely to play, which is one thing I love about the Asus Laptops in particular, I'd give it a try and think (fingers crossed ;) ) that they will prob play nice ;)

If they will work together will the fourth timing of the new stick be set to 36 as in the current stick. I say "if" since the possibility is there that they won't work together. Tradesman1 has wrote an artikel about that.

Look at "Just Add More DRAM" ,is chapter two.
Just trying and see what happens is the only way to see if they will work together.

Thank you Vic 40 (I have read the link you gave me) and thanks to Tradesman1 :) yes, most people I asked about which cheap gaming laptop and there answer was to buy this laptop as it was cheap gaming laptop with high spec. :) I'm glad i buyed this laptop.

I'm a fan for ASUS products since 2007 :) never encountered problem with them + quality products too!

I will be waiting my stick to arrive (4~5 days max) and I will try & tell the results here ;) , I hope it works :)

Thank you again for both of you!! (^.^)
