Here is my build currently.
i3 540
4 gb ram
gtx 1050
**My monitor has only a VGA connector and the graphic card has an hdmi cable so I used an hdmi to vga adapter to attach the graphic card to the monitor.

So I thought that the gtx 1050 would give good improvements to my computer so I went ahead and brought it.
So originally with my set up without the graphic card, I would get around 30 frames per second. Now that I installed my graphic card, I am getting 60 frames per second. When I looked at the reviews on the gtx 1050, all of them had positive framerate with most of the demanding titles with more than 60+ fps but on overwatch I can't get above 50.
I only installed geforce experience as I don't know what drivers I need to download.

So here is my question: What did I do wrong? I don't think that with this graphic card that I should be getting the low frames.

I'm not sure if you're experiencing micro-stuttering, but you may try increasing the settings to see if gameplay becomes smoother. Even if frame rate is lower, the game may run better with higher GPU usage. Install MSI Afterburner and use on-screen display to monitor CPU/GPU usage.

If CPU is bottlenecking the GPU at low resolution and low settings, try raising the settings and resolution to see if you can reach 99% GPU utilization.

Lower resolution and lower settings is harder on the CPU because the GPU is able to render so quickly that...

Oh i was talking about two different types of games. The 50 frames was for overwatch while the 60 fps was for csgo. Anywhere I found out that my cpu was bottlenecking the gpu hard, thanks anyway

Lower resolution and lower settings is harder on the CPU because the GPU is able to render so quickly that the CPU can't keep up.

This may not increase frame rate much, but it could increase your visual experience and overall gameplay.
