Hey guys, having a bit of an issue. Got my new GTX 1070 today and put it into my PC and I've been having a bit of an issue with running games like The Witcher 3 and Dragon Age: Inquisition on high/ultra settings. FPS tends to fluctuate between 40-60, perhaps tanking even lower during demanding scenarios.

My computer is a desktop. I play in 1920x1080.

GPU: Gigabyte nVidia GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming, 8GB of VRAM, no overclock

CPU: Intel Core i7 3770k 3.5ghz no overclock

Motherboard: Sabertooth z77, I believe the bios version is 1504

RAM: 16gb, 1333MHz

PSU: ATX 12v 1100w (really unsure about PSU's, here's a photo of it if any of the information is wrong. http://i.imgur.com/xNIar9J.png)
Operating System and version: Windows 7 build 7601 64bit, clean install

GPU Drivers: 376.09, clean install

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver multiple times as well as most recently using DDU to uninstall all previous and current drivers, and then I reinstalled the 376.09 version but there have been no changes to my FPS in game. Really unfamiliar and inexperienced with a lot of this stuff as this was, also my first time swapping cards out. For the record, my old card was a GTX 670. Thanks.

Solution
get a cryorig h7 cooler for your CPU those temps are very high for a non-overclocked processor.
your card is blowing hot air all over the case which doesn't help if you don't have very good airflow, so I would recommend taking card of that too with a couple of case fans.

* your i7-3770K is a great CPU, not an overclocker beast but a fairly decent overclock should be achievable once you get a nice CPU cooler for it. BUT IT IS DEFINITELY NOT BOTTLENECKING YOUR GPU. the problem is your rig is thermal throttling due to improper cooling in probably multiple components.

I could be wrong but I believe your cpu is bottlenecking your gpu performance.

Is there any way to fix this or would I have to upgrade my CPU? Running Dragon Age: Inquisition tends to put it around a constant 90°C (measured with Core Temp). Is it perhaps an overheating issue?

Yes this is. What cooler do you have?

Alright, thank you so much for the help. I'll look into upgrading the the cooling system. Any recommendations for any relatively low cost case fans?

I'm in Australia. Seems the Cryorig H7 is out of stock on a lot of the main websites, so I'll have to wait until they get some more in before I can order it.
