Move OS and Games to new SSD without Re-installing

I'm soon getting a new SSD, more specifically the PNY Cs1311 240GB and as the title says, I want to move my OS, games, and even some selected software into it.

I have seen different tutorials on how to clone data and third party software to move the OS to a new drive but it doesn't seem to fit my needs. I've also been told to create a partition for my OS and games and then transfer the data to the new drive but I didn't quite understand it. If there's a possible way to do this without re-installing everything and using paid third party software it would be very helpful.

Solution
I assume you have the Windows Media Tool with the Win 10 setup files available, so attempt fresh-installing the OS on your 240 GB SSD. It's best not to have your 1 TB HDD connected when you undertake this fresh-install. Hopefully Windows should pick up the license (activation) without any user input following the installation of the OS.

Well it really would help if you would provide some details on the drive you're considering to clone (the "source" disk), e.g., the total volume of data on that disk and if the disk has been multi-partitioned the amount of data in each partition. Then we might be able to tell whether a disk-cloning operation would "fit" your needs.

My source disk has 1TB of capacity and it has 4 partitions which I didn't know were created:
1. 100MB capacity and 64Mb used
2. 917.93GB capacity and 555.53 used
3. 450Mb capacity and it's empty
4. 13.04GB capacity and 1.59GB used

Unfortunately the total volume of data on your 1 TB HDD far exceeds the disk-space capacity of your 240 GB SSD so the disk-cloning operation is simply not feasible. If your OS was contained in a separate partition on the drive and that C: partition didn't exceed 200 GB, then you could clone just that partition over to the SSD and the HDD would subsequently serve as a secondary drive for storage, backup, etc.

Since that is not the case you'll just have to fresh-install the OS to your new SSD and the 1 TB HDD will then serve as a secondary drive for your games and various other programs & data.

How can I reinstall my OS if I don't have a new key and the OS was already installed into the hard drive since it's recycled from an older computer?

I have Windows 10 Home and I do have the key. I don't have any installation disks but I know how to create an installation USB. This PC I built a year ago and I reused the HDD from my older computer to save some money.
