More ram or not?

Solution

That would depend on the typical workloads and applications that you run, as well as how many apps you run at once. If you are only gaming then, no not a NOTICEABLE performance increase.. The only way to improve FPS is to reduce the "eye candy" (details, AA, AF) or get a more powerful GPU.

It might. Do you use MSI Afterburner to monitor your RAM usage? Are you approaching or exceeding 8GB? You have your answer. Do any of your software system requirements/recommendations suggest more than 8GB of RAM? You have your answer.

And finally improve your FPS for what? You hold all the cards. We can only try and explain what the sum of those cards mean. Some of my games will only bring my system ram usage to about 2600MB. Others push it to about 4.5GB of RAM usage. It's up to the sys. reqs..

Do you have an SSD? That can help make your PC faster. 8GB is more than enough for Windows.

The circle of life. It must be complete.
