So a couple of weeks ago I bought an Intel DZ77GA-70K desktop motherboard off of eBay for $95, and then a couple of days ago I won a 3770k and AsRock Extreme4 motherboard combo bid for $240. Im trying to decide whether I should send the $95 board back and save for a skylake system or build off of the intel board, I plan on using the AsRock board and 3770k for my main pc and the Intel board for my stream pc but which processor do I put in the Intel board if I keep it? I was thinking about either an i7-2600k or an i5-3570k. If I were to send the Intel motherboard back I would use the 3770k and AsRock board for my stream pc and make the 6700k build my main pc.

The other parts in my main build include SLI EVGA GTX 980 SC+ @1516Mhz, Corsair Vengeance Pro 8x2=16gb @1866Mhz, EVGA Supernova G2 1000w, Ben-Q XL2411Z 144Hz Monitor

(2600k looks too expensive on ebay right now, also Sandy Bridge CPU's don't support pci 3.0 which I will want for my stream pc because of the capture card and graphics card combination and the bandwidth requirements)

To put it simply, I'm asking if its worth the price tag and performance to just throw a 3570k and capture card, and good 1080p GPU in there, pair it with OBS for streaming to twitch, and call that my stream pc. Thus making my 3770k and AsRock Extreme4 my main build rather than a 6700k and the Gigabyte board that I listed in the title.

So if I were buying a 1080p graphics card, what would give me the best price to performance ratio? (it would end up going into my stream pc)

Should be fine as long as you over clock and have a good cooler for it. Right now the Sky is still at 340 and it should drop within the next month or two. I would of waited and bought a kaby at least, but my Skylake was 275 and mobo was 198 with a 30$ rebate AND FREE MOUSEPADOMG, and 80$ off 32GB of ram, 60$ DR Pro 3 fan (goes for 90) and another 20$ in rebates, and I need an i7 right now for non gaming reasons. If you're not in that luck boat, wait for Zen or Kaby, especially with Twitch and making use of the 144Hz while on Twitch, but if not, you should be ok. A Skylake won't make that much of a difference.

Twitch can be run on i5s, but what kind of game you play matters as well as the quality and fps rates. Most people don't run a 60 fps, so running with 30 with current gen games under 60 fps games should be fine. I'd blame the 980 before the 3770k for sub 60 fps though.
