I am planning to give the HD6770 to my little brother because I already setup a PC for him with an 18.5" Monitor, please refer to my build in my signature below, what I want to ask is what is the best GPU(AMD only please :D ) for my build right now, I want to game at high settings in 1080p, equal or greater than on a budget.

I was thinking about the 460 or 470, torn between both, but if I can get it on the cheap then I could probably get down a notch to the 3xx series or what do you guys think?

Considering you have an aging Athlon II X4 640 and prefer AMD, the RX 470 would be the best choice for the money. Normally, I would recommend the RX-480. But your old quad core would probably bottleneck it. In fact, I suspect the Athlon II x4 will bottleneck to RX 470 at times. But if you are looking for high settings @ 1080p/60hz, there's no sense going any less than the RX 470.

I have the Gigabyte G1 RX 470 in my old Phenom II X4 rig. But the CPU is running at 4.1GHz. So far, no bottleneck. http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5990#kf
It generally sells for ~$200. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125896

thanks for the reply! :) seeing here in the philippines 470 is still scarce, heck i only saw one version of the 370 which is my fallback option just in case, what is the performance rating of the 370 against the 460 and 470?

For a rough estimate of performance comparisons, run you choices thru here: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-RX-470-vs-AMD-R7-370/3640vs3571

in case the 470 is not here, would the 370 be a great card for 1080p games?

thanks! weird enough though, there is a reputable store here in the philippines that sells the 480 at the same price as the 470 which is weird and makes decision making hard, seeing that you are right, my cpu might bottleneck the 480 i might go to the 470 route, thanks man!
