I have a 6tb Seagate HDD that I am trying to incorporate into my PC, however, whenever I try and set it up, I always get the same result. I'll turn the pc off, connect the hdd cables, and then turn it on. Pc will start fine, but then a repetitive beep every 3 seconds goes off. It boots up VERY slowly after that or not at all. If I try and connect while the PC is on, it freezes.
Current setup...
CPU: Intel Core i7-5820k
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X99-Gaming 5
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX970
PSU: Corsair 850W
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16gb (4x4gb)
SSD: Intel 250gb
HDD: WD 1tb

Solution
Hi there Fenske,

Well, sometimes, a failing drive could result in slower boot times.

One thing you can try is to attach the drive to a different port with different cables. You can take your WD drive out of the system and use the port and cables.
If the issue persists, then you can even try the drive on another computer. That way, you will be sure if there's something wrong with your system or the HDD itself.
