I had this card for quite a while now (when it came out), and during those times, i used to build GPU mining systems so i had quite a few cards. I have tried using this card before but had the same problem with that the card would not work (the fans would spin at 100% during boot and will not display anything). I completely forgot about this GPU until recently and it is brand new but warranty is expired so i was wondering if there is any DIY fix i can do to bring this card back to life.
The fans will run at very high speed and i will not get any display. I have tried it on numerous other desktops with all types of motherboards and PSU's and have the same issue.
Unfortunately it is too late for me to go with warranty (silly of me for not doing so before but this is due to having dozens of GPU's back then) so i was wondering if there is a way to fix this issue? I do remember i had a OLD gpu once before that was causing problems and put it in the oven lol but to my surprise , it actually fixed the problem. My family thought i was going mad but i showed them! However, i am not sure if this solution will fix the R9 280x Dual-X 3GB card i have. It literally was not working since i bought it from SCAN.
Any advice?
