I just recently upgraded from my old sapphire r9 280x to the Evga 1070 Superclocked. So far i haven't noticed an improvement in performance in any games. Battlefield 4 runs at 100 fps at 1080p on max settings, it was the same for the r9 280x.
The division on maximum settings runs anywhere from 40-60 fps with the gtx 1070, which absolutely blows my mind, because i expected a huge boost in that particular game (I was getting about the same frames with the 280).
Other games like Cs go/Rainbow six/Dota all run the same at almost max fps. The only game i noticed a difference in is fifa 16, which went from around 80 fps with the 280x to ~180 fps with the 1070. At this point i feel like i wasted $400... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i5 3570k @ 4.2
GTX 1070 SC 8GB
Z77 Gigabyte mobo
850 Evo SSD 250GB
16GB corsair DDR3
1TB WD Blue
Corsair RMx 850 Psu
CPU cooler 212 evo CM
