Hello everyone, i have been having an issue with random frame drops during game sessions. This has happens with two games that i am aware of (might be more but it went unnoticed) Specifically Arma 3 and Watch Dogs 2.
I have googled for some answers and have tried a couple things such as un-parking my CPU cores and working on cooling of my hardware.
My current rig is:
Windows 10 x64 (this issue also occurred on Windows 7 x64)
Biostar TA970 Mobo
Amd FX 8350 8 core @ 4.00 GHz
XFX GTR Radeon RX 480 8GB Black Edition
20GB DDR3 1600 RAM
Corsair 750TX PSU
Zalman CNPS9900A Heatsink / Fan
Games are installed on a Samsung EVO 850 500GB SSD
My temps in game average out at 55 C while peaking at a little above 60 C for the CPU
and around 70 C for the GPU.
It doesn't matter what my quality settings ingame the frame drops still happen it's even worse if i use OBS.
One minute the game will run fine and out of nowhere i will drop half my frames for a few seconds and then it will go back to normal.
Any help with this issue will be much appreciated. Thanks
