So I received my rx480 today. Prior to today I had no graphics card and relied on the integrated graphics.

I installed the rx480 and the displays were not working. I figured it may be something in my bios. So I removed the rx480, booted to bios and turned off integrated graphics. Now I cannot see anything regardless of what I do.

How can I either reset my bios settings or get this rx480 to work? Thanks for any help.

edit: Well I was shorting the wrong pins because I can't read.

I set the Initial Display Output to PCIe 1 Slot under Peripherals in the BIOS. This changed nothing. When I have power to the rx480, I cannot get any display to work. The rx480 is powered. I see the fan going. I try every port I can for the monitor. I lack a display port cable so I am only trying the HDMI port on the RX480

2nd edit: The HDMI cable is actual from a VGA to HDMI cable if that affects anything.

Well I was shorting the wrong pins because I can't read. I have the bios reset and from what I saw in the motherboard manual I probably just need to enable the pcie slot.

Thanks for the help. I'll confirm once I get this to work

Unfortunately enabling PCIe 1 Slot did not change anything. I have no idea what to try next.

So the monitors are a few years old. It's harder than I would expect to find specs for it. The monitors are

I'm not sure what specs you are look for exactly.

I can either use a VGA cable or DVI cable with the monitor, and right now I have a VGA->HMDI that I use to connect to my mobo. I was going to pick up 2 dvi to display port adapters tomorrow to see if that makes a difference.

I still need to read that post. I have successfully used the vga to hdmi with these monitors for the past few years. I am successfully using it now to connect to my mobo.

What do you mean try vga to vga? The rx480 only has 1 hdmi and 3 display ports.
