I'm on mobile since my pc isn't working, so sorry in advance for the bad grammar! Anyway i just bought an msi 970 gaming motherboard and an amd fx 6300, i also have a roswell 500 watt psu a gigabyte radeon r7 270x, and when i put everything together it didn't work. Also i should mention that the plug from my power button that connects to the jfp1 peg doesn't have all the slots to fit on the pegs. My case is from an asus essentio so it is old and doesn't have the right wire and plug? The connector has only 4 open holes and one blocked off one. Also i have to sort off pull it off while pressing the power button and put it back on half way get everything to power up except for the gpu. I pulled the gpu out and plugged it into my roomates pc, which has the same motherboard and processor, and my gpu started working right away no problem. Any help you guys could provide is greatly appreciated, I'm tired from work and day and pretty frustrated that i can't turn on my pc and play games so thanks in advance!

sounds like that power on button isn't playing nice.

you only need to plug the correct power one - and + to the pins in the picture above. the leds and reset switches dont really matter. figure out what the - and + power on wires are on that asus case and plug into the corresponding pins on the jfp1 connector. or you could just use a jumper, flat blade screwdriver, to ground the - to the + on the motherboard and it will turn on. just make sure you are grounding out the correct pins.

Thanks for answering! So basically to jump it would i get two screwdrivers and put one on the positive and negative like jumping a car or one screwdriver touching both to get them to react with eachother?
