Cheapest and more effective upgrade to a GTX 650ti 1gb?

I want to upgrade my GPU (650ti), but have a limited budget (300$ max).

Was thinking about a 2nd hand MSI GTX 980 4GB (gaming ed) (250-300$ on ebay), or a Radeon RX 470

Any ideas?

If your budget is $300, go with a GTX 1060 6GB or RX 480 8GB.

I would upgrade your psu if you want a stronger video card. You could get a GTX1060 + good psu for under $300.
