I'm going to build dis pc :

Intel-Core i7 6700K
Gigabyte Ga H170 Gaming 3
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 FE
800w PSU (Modular)
Corsair Dominator Platinum 32 GB (4x8)
Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500 GB
Seagate 3 TB Sata III 64 MB.

He says my motherboard is too cheap and i should get the $500 one.Is that true?? i don't really trust him but still,im scared that my pc would burn/explode :(

Solution
Well, that motherboard would run those parts just fine, BUT if you want to get an i7 6700k, you need to get a Z170 motherboard. There is NO reason to buy a $500 motherboard or even a $300 motherboard. You do not need 32GB RAM. I would get 2x8GB DDR4-3000 RAM. I would also not buy a Founders Edition 1080. Get one with 2 or 3 fans. I would also get a better psu. "800w modular" is enough information for me to know that you could do better for your money.

i7-6700k is cpu for overclocking.
H170 motherboard doesn't support overclocking. For OC you would need Z170 motherboard.

Or stay with H170, and change cpu to i7-6700. It will be a bit cheaper and comes with CPU cooler in package (i7-6700k doesn't have it).

BTW - what PSU are you getting (brand/model name)?

I don't even think they make a $500 1151 motherboard. Also you don't gain much by going with an extremely expensive board nor is it worth it. $100 motherboard will perform just as well as a $300 one. Minus the expansion slots, the extra bells and whistles that most people don't even use anyways.
