Overclocking guide for newbies

Hi guys,

i bought this pc for my friend and i just wanted to ask you.
Is it ok for next 5 years of gaming and will there be difference in overclocking between
i7 6700K stock vs 4.7ghz
32gb ram stock vs 3800mhz
msi gtx 1080 stock vs 2000mhz

BTW whats the max ghz i can get for those 3 components?

I didnt want to buy water cooler like h110i cuz this air cooler is more quiet

I dont know a lot can happen in 5 yeas and I cant predict the future. I will say it will likly still be able to play games in 5 years I have no idea how well. The cpu and gpu overcloks will make a difference depending on the game, I doubt you are going to be able to get 4 sticks of ram to 3800mhz on a z170 board. Not all 6700k's were created equal some may get to 4.7ghz with not a lot of voltage some may not. Most 1080s will hit at least 2000mhz, but same as the cpu not all 1080s were created equal some will go higher some wont.

If you are asking if it will physically last 5 years without breaking, yes it should and probably quite a bit longer than that. Assuming you keep thermals in check.

I dont like water coolers much either, good...
