I fried my GPU and need to get a new one 1060 or 1070? And any chance of bottlenecking?

I fried my R9 290x, and i need a new GPU i have enough for a 1070 but would like to know if its worth the $400 , and would it bottleneck my CPU which is a i5-4590. I also know that the 1060 is a very good card especially for the price but i would think the 1070 is a better choice in the long run. Any ideas would be very appreciated.

yeah ,a 1070 will be able to handle most of the games now @ 4K in smooth FPS, should last u long , you can also do SLI adding another card in the future if needed
