Corsair K95 keyboard keeps disconnecting?

Hi! For a few weeks now my keyboard "Corsair K95" has started disconnecting and reconnecting about 1 or 2 seconds later, one time a few days ago the scroll on my mouse even stopped working for a few minutes.
I have already tried switching USB ports but it hasn't helped
Does anyone know any thing that could cause this? Could it be a virus?

Do you have the latest BIOS installed? Latest Windows Updates? try checking the power saving mode from the device, follow this thread: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2891687/keyboard-disconnecting-reconnecting-randomly.html#17101448

If you haven't done so, updated your firmware for both devices. Check cables for splits, frays, knots, cuts, or anything abnormal. Make sure USB ports are clean, i.e. no dust or dirt. If installing the firmware doesn't work, uninstall the drivers and the softwares for the devices. For Corsair it is Corsair Utility Engine (CUE) you need to uninstall. Then you need to reinstall it all again. This fixed my K95 RGB and Scimitar issues. Be aware that Corsair has buggy software and have no indication on the forums, that they are actually trying to fix these issues.

I don't really know what you mean because I dont even have CUE (my K95 is the non RGB version)

CUE isn't just for the RGB version. It is the UI you would use to utilize macros, profiles, RGB configs, and everything else about your devices from Corsair. If you don't have it, then you need to download it and use it to get the latest firmwares for your devices. It is available for free on Corsair's website.

I don't have CUE I think, but I have a program called "Corsair K95 Gaming Keyboard Configuration" thats not it? or is it?

As long as it allows you to update the firmware, that's all that matters. However, I'm only familiar with CUE, so I wouldn't be much help navigating that program, if you needed assistance.
