I just upgraded my system. My specs are:
msi H110M Pro VD plus motherboard
Intel I5-6500 cpu
G.Skill Ripjaw 4 DDR4 2133 Mhz Ram (2x4gb)
Cooler Master G550M PSU
MSI RX 480 GPU

When i boot up, I get no display on my monitor with both Ram sticks. The motherboard has troubleshooting LEDS which have lights for the CPU, DRAM, and VGA. In my tests, both the CPU and the DRAM LEDs flash. I can, however, boot it up by only having one stick of Ram in the slot farthest away from the CPU. I've tested both the sticks and both worked fine in that one slot, but not in the other slot

Are my DIMM slots faulty/damaged somehow or is it a CPU problem? The motherboard, cpu and ram is new and still can be returned

Also the PSU, hard drive, and GPU all worked the day before

I quickly checked the motherboard for any bent pins (the CPU has gold squares, no pins) and couldn't see anything. I can boot up the system and I'm using it right now, I just have to sacrifice the second ram slot which I'd rather not do. Also Speccy does recognize the CPU. I'm trying to update the BIOS and will update when I do (which might be a while)

If the BIOS update not solving the issue and deciding to remove the CPU again, try taking a picture of the CPU socket (on the motherboard) and posting it here. I've seen cases where the bent pins couldn't be noticed on a first glance, but did appear in the picture. It might not be your case, though.
