I have FX6300 3.5GHz and GTX 1050 Ti
I want to upgrade my CPU, I cant get the fps I want in games.
What do you prefer Intel or AMD?
Im looking for optimal budget not expensive.
My budget is around 200-285$ and I want my CPU to be fit with GPU no bottleneck.
Can someone help me about it?

you can get a i5 6500 as a budget cpu but then you would have to upgrade to dddr4 i believe im not sure if there is a board for the 6500 that supports ddr3 or not but again ddr4 is getting cheaper and cheaper there is really big sales going on right now i got 16gb ddr4 3ghz for 75 bucks on sale and retail for that was 110 i belive or with your budget you could get i5 6600k but then again the ddr4 thing comes up im not sure if there is a board that supports ddr3 with either the 6500 or the 6600k

I got the FX-8370 and it gave new life to my aging rig (I used to have a fx-6100), my card is a GTX-960 and according to the forums bottlenecking guide its a good combination of gpu-cpu; mind you that my pc is no competition for an skylake i7, but that processor alone eats all of your budget (and you'll need a new mobo and RAM).

main reason ppl "bottleneck" is resolution.
as long as its 1080p or higher, the load will be on the gpu, and cpu will have little effect on avg/max fps
(from some exception on certain (cpu dependend) games.

u really shuldnt have a bottleneck wit a 1050ti maybe you should overclock the 6300 it does wonders compared to stock . then continue to save and see wat zen has to offer and intel cpu prices will drop wen that happens

Good answer +1

Hopefully back to the days of the Athlon XP albeit, unlikely Ryzen will top the most ridiculously expensive Intel CPU's IMO, not yet anyway... :p

If nothing else, the cost of the AM3+ FX CPU's may fall quite a bit in price when Ryzen is released, if this happens then you'll probably be able to get yourself a cheap and easy CPU upgrade.

If you are interested in using the same board, I would try upgrading the FX-6300 to a FX-8350. It would be a great upgrade for your computer! Please verify that you have a powerful enough Power Supply Unit to power it (I believe this CPU is recommended to have a 500 Watt PSU).

If you switched to Intel it would be a lot more time consuming and might go over your budget if you aren't careful. That's just me though.

Otherwise, wait until the new AMD chips come out. That would be a golden point to upgrade if you don't need to upgrade immediately.
