I have recently undertaken building a new computer. When I plug the gpu (asus strix geforce gtx 970) into the motherboard the gpu fans power up for a second then turn off. I have run the desktop without the gpu and reached the bios, suggesting it is a gpu issue. However when I plug the hdmi into the gpu there is no signal on the monitor.
