Hello.

I want to buy a dedicated sound card to my PC for games and music. I'm using HyperX Cloud headphones. I want to change integrated onboard audio from Asus Z170 Pro Gaming because I hate this annoying "white noise" (and yes I tried to install different drivers and I tried to use different headphones like Creative Aurvana Live! and still white noise existed).

Games I play: CSGO, BF1, and some casual games like Batman, GTA, Mafia etc. Honestly I care mostly about sound positioning in CSGO.

Music I listen: Dubstep/Chillstep and sometimes Rock.

The choice is between SoundBlaster Z and Xonar DX. Which one is the best for my preferences and headphones?

Thanks for help and sry for some english mistakes :)

When you speak of HyperX Cloud are we talking about about the first version or the second(or the latter revisions)? Essentially asking if it's the analog input or USB driven version. If it were between the two you've listed above I'd ask you to look into the Asus Xonar DX simply because of the componentry used and their drivers support which the latter has been completely amiss from Creative's itinerary.

* This is from the assumption that you're going to run your audio equipment using the analog ports. A lot around here come to ask for sound card suggestions but have USB driven audio equipment which doesn't require a sound card to process the audio, the audio processing takes place at the USB port.

Mind sharing your full system's specs inclusive of your OS?
