Worse than expected HD 6570 Performance

Hi, I bought a used PC the other day. The specs are:
CPU: Intel Core2Quad Q6600
RAM: 3GB
GPU: HD 6570 1GB GDDR3
MOBO: ASUS P5K SE
HDD: 500GB
Current driver version: 15.200.1062.1004
Current OS: Windows 7 64bit

I came across kind of a strange issue. The GPU seems to be underperforming compared to other HD 6570. I got a passmark 3D score of 348, even tough it should be around 700-800. When I tried to run games the story repeated, I got ~half the expected performace. Reinstalled the drivers, tried the Crimson beta drivers. No luck. The PC came with windows 10 and I even downgraded it to windows 7, but the same problem persists. MSI afterburner shows the gpu to be maxed out durning the benchmark. The cpu shouldn't be a bottleneck either, since it's passmark score is usual for a q6600, neither is the ram since usage during the passmark 3D test wasn't even close to being maxed out.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Yeah, some of the cards from both AMD and Nvidia in that era came in DDR3 and DDR5 versions, most scores you see will be using the DDR5 version. Think about it, which kind of person is likeliest to run those benchmarks, the person who knows the DDR5 is the fast one or the one who bought whatever was cheapest?
