As the title says this is my first build with a budget that is pretty much maxed out. The reasons I have went with the particular parts is a) I do not not intend to overclock b) leaving space for future upgrades (when the time comes a 1070 or 1080 + i7-6700 upgrade) and finally, c) the overall aesthetic theme of build which is black/white.

Please share thoughts and suggestions on the build!

So I did pretty much the same thing Chugalug did but I kept your black/white theme going.

I wanted to keep a high quality motherboard with an ALC 1150 sound chip and good features in there, unfortunately all the motherboard manufacturers are colorblind and only associate gaming PCs with the color red, so I was kind of forced into a red/black theme. :(

Yeah I know could go stock cooler and save some money, but I wouldn't be able to look at it without getting slightly dissapointed lol it is a bit extra but I feel the phanteks cooler will help build the theme together! And thank you all, I can't wait to get er built!!

A fantastic deal just popped up on a Z170 board btw, here's an updated list with the theme you wanted and an overclocking setup.

I won't be purchasing the parts until just after New Years, as I will finally have the necessary budget saved up. But will definitely be on the look out for deals! I thought about a z170 mobo (the MSI krait Gaming as you posted is the exact model) and then a 6600k or 6700k when I upgrade. It just depends on the price when the time comes, but I feel that would make the build a bit more "future proof"

And give a purpose for the phanteks cooler, other than to just sit there and look pretty

See the list I posted above OP, post here again on New years, or better yet on boxing day sales.

Yeah I will definitely check prices once it gets closer to the purchase date, this is just the final tweaking stage to the build. I'm not sure how I feel about overclocking, as its my first PC in quite some time, and first ever gaming PC so I don't know if I'll even want to do it, which is why i opted for a non k chip and b150m mobo originally, as well as price value

Also if I do stick to the b150m motherboard will the phanteks eclipse be a good case for it? I wanted the phanteks evolv mini, but the board is micro, so I'm unsure if it would fit. I know the case is big enough, just don't want it to large for motherboard

Yeah that's true, I've seen videos on how to do it, and couldn't believe it was that simple. I guess even if I don't go with a k chip immediately it would be nice to have that option down the road, without disassembling most of the build to replace the motherboard
