So I got my hands on a a Dell desktop PC bought in 2006. It's not working due to drive failure since I checked with another working desktop with a PATA connector.

Normally I would have grabbed a hdd laying around and reinstalled everything but it's motherboard only has PATA connector. :/

Any suggestion for a good performing PATA drive?

Also is it possible to use a expansion card to allow it to use SATA? I'm not sure this works for an old PC with a PATA connector.
