When playing Minecraft, I seem to get low CPU usage. On my old computer with an AMD A10-7800 (4 Cores), My usage went from around 30-60%. My new computer now has an i7-5820k, and cannot seem to reach more than 20% of my CPU usage. The following are ways I have tried to resolve the problem, but failed:
-Uninstalling and messing with Optifine settings
-Experimenting with settings in the Nvidia Control Panel
-Set the Java Priority to high in task manager
-Used different JVM Arguments on which Minecraft runs
-Experimented with different amounts of RAM allocated
-Researching on Google, surprisingly
Just about every one of the very few threads I have found about this topic has said to do one of the above. Maybe it's just that Minecraft does not use as much CPU usage as I thought. I noticed in-game that my GPU usage remains around 50-80%, if this helps. Thanks to anyone in advance who wants to try and help me.
System Specifications:
Zotac Geforce GTX 1060 6GB (Clock Speed)
Intel Core i7-5820k (OC'd at 4.4GHz) - Same results before and after Overclocking
AMD DDR4-2133 8GB (2x4GB)
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
