Safe Temps for i7 6700k Skylake?

What's the highest safe temperature for this CPU? What temperatures to expect while under load?

depends on the cooler. with a stock cooler I would say anything above mid seventies indicates something is wrong. but also room temperature matters greatly.

Perfectly safe under 80c, ideally under 75c.
You have a great cooler, should keep stuff cool even with a heavy OC.

Yes that cooler is about a s good as air coolers get, but at stock speeds I would expect mid to upper sixties excluding prime 95 runs and other heat creating benchmarks.

80 is max for it, if i was you you should keep it under 70 degrees because then it's not gonna thermal throttle

Throttles at 100c... Not that anyone should ever really run it that hot, but just saying it'll run perfectly well all the way up to 100c.

Core i 6th Generation processors have features such as Configurable TDP (cTDP) and Scenario Design Power (SDP) which may trigger throttling as low as 80C. See Sections 5.1.4.1 and 5.1.7 under “Thermal Management” in the following document: 6th Generation Intel Processor Datasheet - http://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/datasheets/desktop-6th-gen-core-family-datasheet-vol-1.pdf

Here's the recommended operating range for Core temperature:

80C Hot (100% Load)
75C Warm
70C Warm (Heavy Load)
60C Norm
50C Norm (Medium Load)
40C Norm
30C Cool (Idle)
25C Cool

Core temperatures in the mid 70's are safe, so just keep it under 80.

I know all that very well, and I never said that anyone SHOULD go over 80c, but the fact is that it doesn't throttle until 100c. In other words, "safe" is 80c and below, but it'll run at full speed up to 100c.
