i have a dell 7737 laptop ,and it used to have a good heat sink, each time i play a good game u can hear the fan spinning at high speeds , but now the fan barely spins above 1000 rpm even at very high temp (70 + c) ,i know the fan works cause during bios install it runs at max speed ,,then i got one of those sensor programs which said the fan runs on 2000 rpm in idle(in reality fan is barely spinning) and sensor shows 4000 rpm when playing games when in reality its only around 1000 rpm ,is there any way to fix this sensor or bypass this sensor to give my fan 100 % power , please do help
thanks

Solution
i say forget about sensors and programs.
set your fan speed in bios to full speed. that should put ur fans at full speed. reboot and read the fan speed in bios.
