I am looking to buy a new soundcard to replace the on board soundcard that more than likely isn't as good as a separate pcie one, and im looking at the Creative Sound Blaster Z's ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829102048 ) and it says that the card acts like a pre-amp, but i already have an external pre-amp, my Bravo Audio ocean ( http://www.parts-express.com/bravo-audio-ocean-mini-valve-class-a-tube-headphone-amplifier--310-352?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=pla )
Will getting a sound card do anything to hurt my audio quality? or will it improve it further past what my on-board soundcard could?
Secondary question, is there a better soundcard than this for around the same price? +/- 30 dollars is fine.
any answers are appreciated, thanks! I want to know before i buy it.
