Sata 3 over Sata 2

I've just read that there aren't significant differences in speed between a sata 2 and a sata 3 hdd, so, considering that, is it worth upgrading to a sata 3 hdd if i have a sata 2 hdd ? My hard drive is called Hitachi DT725050VLA360

A HDD will not saturate the SATA II interface, much less even get near the SATA III speed.
A HDD labeled "SATA 3" is just marketing. There is no difference in the actual drive or speed.
