i replaced my 500gb hard drive with a 1 tb but had problems.I cannot Initialise the new 1tb hard drive? when it didn't work i had to re-Initialise the old 500gb hard drive and worked first time? i got the problem saying 'cannot start the ps4'? i done the same steps and had no problems,i have contacted playstation but they are useless.

I'd advise you to check the official compatibility list provided by the console manufacturer for the certified HDDs compatible with this particular model. It might also be a good idea to check this article from their knowledge base regarding the HDD swap.
I'd also advise you to make sure you got the newest software version of the PS4 installed on a bootable USB media from your computer. It might also be a good idea to try booting into the Safe Mode options.
