Why is my CPU cooler louder when using higher FPS?

I'm using Intel stock cooler and 60hz monitor. When I set in-game frame rate to 120fps, my CPU cooler is louder than normal. Should I change my CPU cooler?

well stock coolers are good for office use needs for gaming and what not the more processing power the more heat and the cooler may suffer to keep up with the temps as in the stock cooler cant dissipate as efficiently as a good aftermarket cooler and run at higher noisier fan speeds to try to do so ?

I never use a stock cooler on anything over light office use household computer use ..

also if you look at gpus today with monitors lets say 144hz run the cards up over low power state stock speeds and all

though I do not know how 120hz would behave ? maybe the same ??

It is 'louder', because the fan speeds up.
Why does the fan speed up?
Because the CPU is doing more work
More work = more heat generated.
So the fan speeds up to remove more of that heat, keeping the CPU from melting into a pile of goo.

This happens with every CPU cooler to some degree.

Will it be not louder if I change to aftermarket cooler?

A better cooler will probably be quieter.
Between idle and full load, all coolers are louder at full load than they are at idle.
The better coolers just have a smaller noise delta between idle and full load.

Until you get into the liquid things. Then they may be louder than the good air coolers.

cant say ? haven't used a Logitech in a long time since they went cheap , use to be all I would buy

look things up on google and see what others report and possible fixes

try the mouse in another computer and monitor to see if it does the same ??

My casing is CM K280. Does my Asus GTX670 graphic card make loud noise when the temp is around 70c? Should I install side fan to cool down my graphic card or change CPU cooler?
