So quite a while ago my pc had an overheating issue and always turned off while playing games and other things like that. So i managed to get a Cooler Master Nepton 240m to cool my cpu. I thought this would have fixed my overheating issue and it did but my pc still turns off while playing certain games.

Specs:

CPU: AMD A8-6600K quad core
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 2GB
MotherBoard: F2A58M-HD2 FM2+
RAM: 8GB DDR3
PSU: 550w (Dont know which brand or anything else like that)

I think thats everything. Please help since i have had this issue for nearly the entire year and i just want to play games haha. All replies are much appreciated :)

If you're overclocking, return to stock settings. I also believe that board doesn't have heatsinks on the VRM's. Extended gaming, poor case airflow, and now the use of a liquid cooler may be causing them to run hot. You can check to see if this an issue by removing the side cover and blowing a fan into the case. Have you double checked CPU and GPU temperatures? If cooling is not your problem, I would test another PSU in your system.

I know it's definitely not a temperature issue so it must be the psu. I did think it might have been that. What one could you recommend?

So i just came around to getting that psu but the VAT made the price go over £100 because im from the uk. Are there any cheaper psus that would still fix my issue? preferably around £50 ($60)
