What is wrong with my internet

So a couple of days ago I started to see my ping increase in games from anywhere from 200-900ms. I use to play on all servers at below 80ms (usually 40). Its jump to this very high ping making everything unplayable and annoying. I know its a problem outside my pc because my internet has been auto-shutting off after my ping hits 1000. I have restarted my router about 25 times with no avail. I do not even know where to beginning in fixing it other than calling my isp and it would take days to get them out here. Every other aspect of my internet works the same as it did before this sudden increase in ping ie. streaming netflix, downloading games, and generally good speed. But as soon as I get into a multiplayer game it is complete crap.

Try connecting to your router with an ethernet cable. Check your performance and compare to when using a wireless connection. This may not be your ISP or connection at all, rather it may just be an issue with your wireless adapter/drivers.

On the pc that is connected through ethernet I get about 2.5mbps while on wireless I get 2mbps. Not that concerning to me.
I have the TP-LINK AC1200 usb adapter if that means anything.

Doing so yielded the same results
