Hi, I just built a brand new PC, and unfortunately having the problem of it not booting at all. The first time I tried booting it, it turned on, but I was getting no signal to the monitor(I also didn't have a CPU fan at first). Then after about 3 minutes it shut off and now when I press the power button on the case it will not turn on at all (fans wont budge or anything).

If I turn on the PSU, the mobo will still light up (red LEDs). I have tried everything. I did a full reinstall of the mobo and wires, checked the ram, added a CPU fan to the CPU, unplugged the PSU and reinserted the wires (and confirmed multiple times that the wires are in the correct positions). I've tried resetting the CMOS by removing the mobo battery. After attempting to reset the CMOS, all the LEDs on the mobo are now a solid red, when one of LEDs on the side of the mobo was in a 'breathing' behavior before the attempt to reset the CMOS.

At this point I don't know what to do and I'm getting really frustrated. All of the parts are brand new, and im debating whether I should try to return the motherboard for a replacement to newegg or go to a technician to get it figured out (technician is my absolute last option).

My system specs are:

Corsair 450d mid tower
Intel I7 6700k @4.0ghz
ASUS H170 pro-gaming motherboard LGA 1151
(One) 8gb DDR4 Vengeance LPX 2400
Corsair CXM 750W
MSI Nvidia GTX 1060 3gb

I have not installed the graphics card yet.

I appreciate everyone for their help in advance, im going to work now so I wont be able to reply until later in the day.

Hi alexoiu, so I tried the paper clip method, and the PSU doesn't even turn on. All I hear from the PSU is a low clicking noise. I now suspect the PSU to be the main cause. My question is, this is a brand new PSU, how could this happen, could it be a faulty part? Also, is there anyway of repairing it or will it have to be sent back to newegg for replacement? I greatly appreciate your advice and thankyou so much!

It's working now! I returned the Corsair 750w PSU to Newegg and decided to just drive to a local micro-center and bought the EVGA G2 650w PSU. Everything is smooth so far!
