How much fps

So i am going to get this laptop but i dont know how much fps it will get in gta v
Acer 15.6" F15 Intel Core i3-6100U 8GB RAM 1TB HDD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M 2GB
I doubt i will be able to do this but could i run the gta v redux mod and if so how much fps would i get?

Probably 45 fps on very low settings. Not going to be playable more than low for sure I think. A 1060 3GB runs it on medium at 60fps with that CPU (The desktop versions anyways) So since the 950 is about half as fast as the 1060 3GB and its a mobile device I would say liberally about 45fps on low. The card in that laptop (desktop versions) are only 10% better than the minimum required GPU.

You're going to have trouble running gta v unmodded on low 1080p if you want to maintain 60fps. Nevermind with something like the redux mod. The 950m is by no means a powerful gpu, and gta v doesn't do too well with i3's either.

It does fine with the 6100, due to hyperthreading. An i3 6100 and a 1060 3GB will run it pretty well, but yeah the 950 is not good.

yeah I looked into it the mobile versions are a lot less powerful than their desktop brethren. With the mobile video I say go lowest settings and It should still be playable

i dont really care about having it at 60fps because i was planning on locking it at 30 so will it run at 30 on high

No it won't the gtx 950 and gtx 950m aren't in the same league. The 900m series is the last gen for nvidia where to borders between desktop and portable were noticeable (except for the gtx 980 for laptops). The 950m has the performance of a gtx 470 and that isn't great. You'll run gta V at 1080p low (medium - high textures doesn't impact performance like at all as long as you have vram left over) at about 60fps. Some drops because of the gpu or cpu not being able to keep up but it will be playable.

Like I said I doubt it will run high but it should be okay on medium if you're capping at 30fps. But personally I prefer 60fps low quality over 30fps high quality. But thats just me. I think if you do the above you'll be alright.
