New cpu cooler affecting my FPS in games

i bought a Cooler Master Hyper T2 for my AMD athlon x4 860k.After installing it i got 20~30' before i got 40~50c'.But when i got into the game i only get like 20~30 fps before i used to get 70 to 80 fps.My cooling fan is facing down and my gpu is Asus strix gtx 960 4gb.Please i need help

1| When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include you full system's specs inclusive of your OS and peripherals.
2| Since your FPS in games took a hit after the cooler installation, did you try uninstall your GPU drivers using DDU and reinstalling the latest drivers from Nvidia's support site?
3| Have you made sure your motherboard BIOS is up to date?
