I have a HP ENVY h8-1419

Power Supply- Internal 460W (100V-240V)

processor- i7 3.4 Intel Core i7 3770

mother board- IPMMB-FM (Formosa)

memory- 12 gb rams ddr3

hard drive- HDD 1.5tb

i was wondering if a gtx 1060 or even a 1070 would fit with this pc's motherboard
if i go 1070 i'll change the power supply, but it's the mother board that worries me
i currently run a gtx 750 OC. is it worth it? and can it fit?

motherboard size is irrelevant
it has the proper pcie slot , that is all that matters

from looking around, max gpu length seems to be ~10.83 inches or thereabouts

the psu it comes with does have a 6-pin, a proper gtx 1060 is simply a drop in ( as long as it is a version that only needs a single 6-pin)

but yes if you...

but yes if you want a 1080 you are going to need a new power supply with at least a single 8-pin or 6+2-pin pcie cable

make sure its fully modular psu because that case is very cramped
