i am looking at getting the P400S and have heard that the case can support an internal, RGB LED strip.

i am ordering an LED strip for my table and was wondering if i can use the same LED's from that strip and simply wire them into the case, or if ill need to buy another controller. or does the case only let you use Phanteks LED strips.

thanks for the help, and if it says that it NEEDS to be phanteks LED's, is there a mod that i can do to make another LED strip work? (i'm an electrician so i don't mind stripping/soldering electronics)

You're going to need these LED strips made by Phanteks. Going by the specs alone, they are actually 5050RGB lights/strips (albeit in a premium quality) so you can take just about any 5050RGB kit and wire them to the cases controller but I would suggest that you leave the controller on the case for the internals while a separate 5050RGB kit(with remote can be sued for managing the illumination of your desk.

Choice is yours actually. If you have the time and the enthusiasm, I'd say go for it! Ofc we'll need proof that you didn't mess things up :D
