the laptop i am working is running on Windows XP Professional 64bit. When I go to Disk Management on Computer Management, Disk 0 says 1000.27 GB, and there are 5 partitions under it, System Reserved (9.37GB NTFS), C: (94.84GB FAT32), D: (367.17GB FAT32), E: (519.22GB FAT32) and 690MB unallocated. then when right-click to Disk 0 properties, it says SAMSWEET 16GB SSD.

The BIOS says storage is SAMSWEET 16GB SSD, and other OS I run through USB flash drive and the Windows 7 installer sees only the 16GB SSD.

When I run partition managers, it only detects 14.74 GB drive with 15MB system reserved patition and 5.4GB unallocated space.

So I cannot proceed with clean installation since win7 installer says 16GB is not enough to install the OS.

Any help please... Thanks...

Well there you go, you have a system with fake parts.

It's labeled Sony Vaio but no specific model... I think it's an imitation. The stickers in the casing says Intel i7 and 8GB RAM, which is the same as what the OS is reporting. But when you go to the BIOS, it says Intel Core 2 Duo and 512MB RAM... other markings in the casing is in Japanese... I guess the OS is also modded... it says windows 7 all around it but when I go to msconfig boot tab, it says windows xp professional 64-bit...

I also opened the bottom covers and saw only a small SSD card in the drive bay labeled SAMSWEET 16GB SSD, Model: SM851...
