I see some posts saying I can and can't run triple monitors but each thread is weeks or months old so... I wanna get a straight answer

I wanna have a triple monitor setup with the new computer that I am getting
intel i7-6700k
gtx 1060 6gb
16gb ram

I really wanna run triple monitors in 1080 for good graphics ty

Depends on the monitors/GPU.

What GPU are you getting, and do you already have the monitors or not?

You will most likely need DP (Display Port) cables to connect all 3, as they seem to be replacing VGA/DVI.

What manufacturer is the GTX 1060 from, Gigabyte, Asus, MSI, EVGA?

And once you tell me that I will be about to assist you more.

That doesn't specify which ports are on the card and which are on the motherboard so it might be best to wait for it to turn up before you rush out and get your monitors, but you can still run up to four monitors.

It will work, it just depends on the monitors and GPU you choose.

Your GPU will most likely have one, or multiple of either; DVI; HDMI or Display Port.

This will change depending on the GPU, do you have the exact link of the GPU you're going to purchase, in which case we can help you with the monitor you can choose.

NVIDIA® GeForce®
GTX 980 Ti

or NVIDIA® GeForce®

Are you buying that for $1500? It's way too expensive. For that much money you could get GTX 1080 if you build the PC yourself which will give you about 50%-70% more fps in games.
GTX 1060 may be sort of fine for 3x 1080p monitors, but it will start to struggle in modern games on max settings.
