My PC will not boot and the motherboard is making a clicking noise? I have a SSD hard drive for my C drive. The motherboard is three years old, and have replaced the COMS battery, and it's made no difference.

Please advise,

Thanks guys

Hey there, @GOLD75!

Are you sure it's the motherboard making those clicking noises? It's definitely not the SSD as it has no moving parts, but it could be a secondary mechanical hard drive if you have one in your storage setup. Another hardware component that could be making these sounds is the power supply unit, so please make sure you test it and replace it, if it's needed! I'd also suggest you rule out coil whining as this phenomenon could also be the source of your clickng noises.

Hope this helps you. Keep me posted.
