Would be 450W enough to run an MSI GTX980ti?

I´m planing to upgrade my Asus GTX650ti to a used MSI GTX980ti Gaming ed.

My rig currently is:

i7-4770 3.4Ghz
16GB RAM (Corsair and Kingstone pairing, didn't managed to find the corsair when upgrading)
250GB SSD for System
Asus GTX650ti 1GB
Asus Maximus Hero VI Motherboard
450W CooleMaster GX PSU

I was thinking about upgrading the PSU to a 500W Maxwell Arctic one too, but don´t know if it will be needed

Solution

you need a GOOD 650w+ psu

dont buy a garbage tier model

650w+ tier 1 or 2 unit from this list:

I´m waiting to find something at 300+-30$ on ebay or in the forums. Was hoping to find something at that price point before xmas or around the announcement of the 1080ti in january.

Judging by http://www.anandtech.com/show/9306/the-nvidia-geforce-gtx-980-ti-review/16 the power consumption of the GPU would be around 400W+-20, which would be the expected 80% performance of a good 500W(550W to have some spare room for any peaks). Don´t know if 600W would be a little overkill there, since I don´t plan to OC (a lot).

I don't like to run too close to the limits of the PSU. I'd go with what Nvidia recommends for the reference card, 600W.
550W absolute minimum.
A factory overclocked card will draw a bit more power. If you manually overclock, then more power again.

It comes down to it's your call, all we can do is make good safe recommendations, if you want to chance a lower end and be pushing as far as it can be pushed for a few months, and the PSU ends up with a loud Snap Crackle Pop as you eat rice krispies, it your choice :)
