Will Samsung PM961 work with MSI Z170A SLI Plus?

As above, I read in manual that it supports PCI-Express 3.0 x4, but I'm not sure about NVMe.

I am running the PM961 on an MSI Z170-A Pro and its running fine. Ok, so its not the same board as you, but its close.

Did you need to update BIOS or configure something? And are speeds much different than advertised?

no bios update but i installed some new drivers and speeds are fab
