Hello everyone,

I have a dual monitor set up. One is an AOC and the other a BenQ. Sorry, I don't exactly remember model numbers. The BenQ Is the primaryear monitor and I use it for gaming, but on the flip side the image quality isn't as good as the AOC. I am using a gtx 970 gpu. Before I switched monitors with different ports. For example, I'd hook the BenQ up to the gtx and the AOC up to the mobo and alternate back and forth. I always turned the computer up before I did though. Well today I wasn't thinking and I switched monitors to different ports. When everything was hooked up. The wasnt anything displaying on either screens. I tried my best to use deductive reasoning. I tested both ports alone. The main mother board port will work fine when it is hooked up to the AOC monitor. The gpu will not display anything to either the monitor. The BenQ monitor will not pick up any signal from any ports. The computer picks up that gtx is installed. Now When I have the AOC connected to the motherboard and the BenQ connected to the gpu the computer will pick up that there is space on the BenQ screen and adjust and move item over to the BenQ screen. Even the mouse will go over to that side but the BenQ will not detect a signal. I do not know what's wrong please help.

I am also on a Windows 10 system if that helps. Sorry if I'm confusing. I will re-explain any part if need be.

Hello... Are you using any VGA adaptors? that will only work in a DVI-I port of the GPU... DVI and HDMI connections/cables will be your best performance.

Start with setting up one monitor first... and set Windows for "show desktop only on one" and exit.

1) The Video card will only BIO's screen Boot to one monitor through one of the ports... in Windows set/call/name that Display 1 and should be your main desktop area (best monitor).
2) for Display 1... check monitor resolution/freq, when all good to your eyes... exit Windows, and power down.
3) connect your secondary Monitor to your VIDEO card... Boot to windows.
4) set that monitor for Display 2 and check monitor resolution,
5) Turn on Extend mode and move Display position to the...
Hello... You need to change the OS setting for the video card, monitor, priority and Display modes... right click your desktop-screen resolution and see if you can get them setup as you want them when you boot each time into the OS. this is the master control App for your OS Display needs.
Move the above display for monitor 2 location/real estate/position you need to work with your mouse/apps. exit Windows and boot again to save/test those settings.

Thank you for your swift reply. The computer isn't registering the BenQ monitor at all. Even when it's connected to the motherboard port. So I can't follow your instructions but I tried. It is a very weird scenario. I wish take a video and post it.

6) when all is good to your eyes... restart Windows to save settings.
