Hi I tried to flash the latest P8H61-M PRO bios from the ASUS website stupidly, but the problem is my board is an OEM CM6630 motherboard (from an M11AA) so I get no boot now at all just a black screen. I'm trying to hotswap my bios chip to another computer to reflash the bios to it but I can't get it to flash correctly to the right address. I'm using fptw64. Problem is the bios is supposed to be 8192kb but the non OEM one it only 4096kb so I think the write address is all screwed up, it's just asking me do I want to truncate the write because there's not enough write area, then says success but I still get no boot. Anyone know of any other programs to flash it with or any other command that might help? Thanks.

I'm thinking I might have to do that. I'm able to actually program the bios chip on the other board but it seems to only be allowed use -bios and only tries to program the main bios while the rest is write protected. Problem is the cap file is 8MB in size and it's trying to flash part of it to the main bios block instead of the correct part. I have no idea how to get around it though unless anyone else has any idea. I should've just left it alone in the first place.

I've tried to use it there with my backed up bios and get no boot signature found in the file. It does show up as current bios 0507 though which is the correct one but still no boot when I put it back into my Asus board.

I've ordered one in case but still wanna see can this be fixed. I read a good bit into it and fpt seems to only let me use the -bios tag at 2.5mb. I'm able to flash it now with afudos fully but if I dump it it's 2.5mb compared to my first backup of 6mb and UEFItool says Invalid UEFI image and parseBios: one of volumes inside overlaps the end of data. The top of the bios headings do show up though including padding as the second option. I wonder if the main bios block could be extracted and then flashed could it fix it. The link to the original bios is here if anyone wants to check http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/Desktop/CM6630/P8H61-M-PRO-ASUS-CM6630-8-0507.zip?_ga=1.248050887.1539153986.1478549469

Thanks for the replies by the way.

I've tried afudos bios.rom /p /b /k /n /x and it shows to have flashed everything successfully then still does as mentioned above.

Apparently my bios descriptor might be locked causing the fpt write problem but fpt did let me flash to it with my own board which is what caused this mess in the first place. I don't know if there's a way to unlock it now. If I find out anything I'll let others know how I sorted it. Maybe if I found someone with the same pc as me.
