So my pc no longer recognizes the graphics card, gtx 760 1,5gb, it used to, until lately it started to do this every now and then, and now permanently.

The card seems to turn on as it heats up a little and the fan spins, but the computer doesn't recognize it. The computer works otherwise fine with integrated graphics.

I have tried the following:
-Unplugging/removing the card and putting it back in
-Looking around in bios, nothing about the card there
-Resetting bios with CLR jacks
-Downloading drivers off nvidias website, no luck as the install says no compatible hardware
-Switching cables that connect to monitor, issue is definitely with the card, mb or slot, not monitor or cable as integrated graphics work fine
-Ensuring all cables are connected inside pc

I'm starting to believe that either the card is dead, atleast the connector bit, or that the slot on my motherboard is, which would be awful. How likely is it that one of them is, which one is more likely and is there anything else I could try to fix this?

Edit to explain earlier edits: They were about fixing typos

the only way to be for sure with this situation is to plug the card into a whole different computer and see if that computer sees the card, if it doesnt then the card is likely dead. when did you get this card exactly if i may ask?

I'm unable to do that for now as I don't have 1. another pc or 2. another card. The card is about 2 years old, part of a pre-built acer g3-605 I bought, silly that I forgot mention that.

my only solution here would be to get a cheap CHEAP (like ~$100 cheap) board and CPU that has a PCIe port and test on that (yes these do exist, just takes some time searching)
also what board partner is the GPU? EVGA, asus, gigabyte etc.?

I don't think it's any, it only had nvidia branding on it when I took it out, and barely that.

if you bought it brand new then it should still have about 1 year of warranty left. try contacting Nvidia and see if they can replace it

It's a prebuilt with a two year warranty and besides opening the case must've voided it. Thanks for your help anyway, I'll see if I can get a cheap board, could I not also try to get a cheap graphics card, if those even exist for this type of slot?

yes there are cheap cards that plug into PCIe for like $30 that you can test with
also what are you using the computer for specifically?

Gaming. All sorts of gaming, have tried, for some reason, bitcoin mining, but only for a bit(like 10 minutes max)
