I am building a gaming pc for my 12 yo nephew and I need some advice. My last build was Intel Q9400, so I haven't build a new pc for 7-8 years.

In my office I have a computer with i5 3570 with 8gb of ram that we don't use. Should I use the i5 3570 and add new parts (SSD, PSU & GTX 1070) or build a new PC with i5 6500?

Will the i5 3570 bottleneck the GTX 1070?

Any advise or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
Seeing how you already have the 3570, You may as well use it. In some games the 6500 might perform better than it (but this would be minimal)
Saves you buying a new CPU, RAM and Mobo :D
