im looking for software that locks computer after a period of time and then it requires a password to get back on desktop. the thing is that i want each person to have their own password. i can not find anything like this. this would restrict access to computer to only certain people but w/o creating individual user accounts. can this be done.please help.

That's what the user accounts are there for. The lock screen is only for the current logged in user.

What you ask for does not exist. You want separate logins but not individual accounts, that's not how Windows works.
